One of the most important pieces of legislation that is before us is Senate Bill S3752 and House of Representative Bill HR7296.

Both bills were introduced in January 2025 and were passed by the House but are currently held up in the Senate. The bill reads as follows:

The Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) America Act is a federal proposal that requires documentary proof of U.S. citizenship to register to vote in federal elections, mandates photo ID for voting, and restricts mail-in-ballots. It has passed the House of Representatives multiple times, but it has not become law as it remains stalled in the Senate.
